This immersive projection-based underwater experience was developed for SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium. The installation spanned a 14-meter-wide wall and utilized four laser projectors to create a visually stunning real-time simulation.
I was solely responsible for the Unreal Engine development, designing a procedural system for sea creature behavior, environment building, and dynamic lighting. The 3D models were sourced online, while creature animations were a combination of procedural systems in Unreal Engine and predefined animations, the latter created by my colleague.
The final build was optimized to run on Windows, leveraging the power of an RTX 3070ti for real-time rendering.
